Professor of Criminal Law, Criminal Procedure and International Criminal Law at the Law School of the University of Athens, Member of the European Academy of Sciences and Arts (Salzburg). He is Founder and President of the European and International Criminal Law Institute, Member of the Scintific Council of the Greek Parliamen and Member of the Supreme Special Court (two terms). He taught as visiting Professor International and European Criminal Law at the Law School of the University of Munich and was president or member of numerous legislative committees. He published twelve books and more than 70papers in the field of Criminal Law in Greek, German and English language. Works of him have been translated into Spanish, Japanese, Chinese, French, Italian and Turkish.
